Competitor monitor
Watches competitors' sites, blogs, hiring, and social. Alerts on signal-worthy changes.
What it does
Continuously monitors competitor websites (page changes, new pages, pricing updates), blogs (new posts), job boards (hiring signals indicating product direction), social accounts (campaign launches, exec hires), and news mentions. Alerts you only on signal-worthy changes (filters out cookie-banner-rev v2 noise).
- Inputs
- Competitor list. Signal threshold (low/med/high). Alert channel (Slack, email).
- Outputs
- Realtime alerts on competitor moves. Weekly digest of all changes ranked by signal strength.
- Cost per run
- ~$1.50 per competitor monitored per week.
- Models used
- Claude Haiku for change classification. Claude Sonnet for signal-vs-noise filtering.
Best for
B2B brands in fast-moving categories. Founders who want to know about competitor pricing changes within 24 hours.
Not for
Slow-moving categories (legal, accounting) where competitor moves matter weekly not daily. Use a manual monthly review instead.
Common questions
- Does it scrape competitor sites in a way that'll get blocked?
- We use respectful crawling (robots.txt-aware, low frequency, identifying user-agent). We don't scrape paywalled or login-walled content.
