Billing anomaly detector
Watches Stripe / billing for charge failures, churn risk signals, and revenue leakage. Daily ledger.
What it does
Hourly scan of Stripe + your billing system for: failed charges (with retry status), declined cards (notify customer), unexpected refunds, voluntary cancellation patterns, dunning-recovery opportunities. Flags revenue leakage (e.g., free-trial users not converting at expected rate, churned customers no one called).
- Inputs
- Stripe API key. Monthly revenue baseline. Cancel/churn definitions.
- Outputs
- Daily billing-health Slack post. Per-customer recovery suggestions. Monthly revenue-leakage report.
- Cost per run
- ~$0.05 per active customer monitored per month.
- Models used
- Claude Haiku for transaction classification. Custom scoring for churn-risk indicators.
Best for
B2B SaaS with subscription billing. Multi-brand operators with billing across multiple Stripe accounts.
Not for
One-time-purchase B2C brands (different problem shape). Pre-revenue brands.
Common questions
- Does it auto-retry failed charges or auto-message customers?
- By default, no — Stripe handles retries via dunning settings, and we suggest customer outreach for human review. You can opt into automated dunning emails after 30 days of supervised use.
